Safe working environments for biological agents

Biosafety laboratories are used for working with microorganisms, viruses and other biological substances that pose a risk to humans or the environment. Depending on the agents, a biosafety level (BSL) applies, from 1 (low risk) to 4 (high risk, e.g. Ebola).
Each level requires a specific combination of measures: air pressure zones, closed infrastructure, automatic decontamination, etc.
